Letter from the Forum Chairpersons Dated 11/11/23

Aloha Fellow Lions:

The KMC Winter Forum/3rd Cabinet Meeting is going to be held on January 26-27, 2024.

Gate pass requests must be submitted with registration to get your name on their list. Reminder – It is a pass to KMC ONLY!  To go sightseeing, you must pay the gate fee.

There is going to be a Golf Tournament on Friday morning at the Volcano Golf & Country Club hosted by Lion Diane Kent of the Akaka Falls Lions Club.  The Golf Registration forms and money are to be sent directly to Lion Diane Kent.  Len Shimabukuro of Akaka Falls Lions Club is hosting a Pickleball game at KMC starting at 1pm.  RSVP required to set up event.  Please email Lions Len & Diane ([email protected] and [email protected]) if you want to participate or if you have q’s.

Friday night’s registration begins at 5:00pm in the Ohia Room.  After dinner (on your own), we will begin our Winter Forum at 6:00pm with an inspiring speaker.  Then we will adjourn to the Firehouse for fellowship, fun and food.

We’re planning a “D50 Idol” or “D50 Got Talent” showcase this year.  And D50 definitely has musicians, singers, comedians, hula dancers, magicians, and other talented members/clubs.  Contact Diane Kent ([email protected]) if you would like a chance at $100 prize money.

On Saturday, breakfast will be served at the Firehouse to registrants.  Registration will start at 8am in the Ohia Room.  The Cabinet Meeting is scheduled to begin at 9:00am.  Right after the meeting, we will have lunch at the Firehouse.  Then back to the Ohia Room for a possible service project, hike, talk story session – TBD.  Dinner will be served at the Firehouse

followed by the Auction & Country Store, possible games and conclude with the popular Reverse Bingo in the Ohia Room.  Then back to the Firehouse for more fellowship and assorted desserts.

Sunday morning, we will conclude with breakfast on your own with checkout by 11:00am.
